Era prioritizes privacy fundamentally. The app processes photos exclusively on your device without external transmission or data retention.
All photos and information reside locally via iOS's file system and SQLite, with no cloud uploads.
Facial landmark detection operates entirely on-device. The app stores coordinates for eye, ear, cheek, nose, and mouth positions locally, though only eye positions support alignment functionality. This information remains device-bound.
The application requires no user accounts, registration, or login credentials.
The app uses PostHog, a privacy-friendly analytics service, to collect anonymous usage data. This includes events such as app opens, photo captures, timelapse generation, and feature interactions. No personally identifiable information is collected, and no photos or biometric data are transmitted. Analytics data is used solely to improve the app experience.
The app integrates PostHog for anonymous analytics (see above). No other external services are integrated, and no personal data is shared with outside parties.
Apple's App Store processes all transactions; payment information isn't retained by the developer.
Users may delete individual photos within the app or remove all data via uninstallation.
The app collects no personal information from any users, including minors. All photo storage occurs locally, and analytics data is fully anonymous.
Future modifications will update the timestamp and notify users through app releases.
